Primavera Sound 2021 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The organizers decided to postpone the event, which was celebrating its 20th anniversary, to the first two weekends of June 2022.
Headlining acts performing at the festival included: Massive Attack, Pavement, Tame Impala, Beck, The National, The Strokes, Gorillaz, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, among others.
